Extreme weather events and changing climate patterns are having hugely destructive impacts on people’s lives. No one is immune.
But the consequences of climate change are much worse in the developing world where people have less money and fewer resources.
People in the developing world are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change for many reasons including the fact that they don’t have savings to fall back on and are often undernourished.
Anglicord works in partnership with Anglican and like-minded agencies to support our partners to respond and adapt to environmental challenges.
And we are seeking your support to help vulnerable families in the developing world prepare for, adapt to and respond to the devastating impacts of the changing climate.
It’s not all doom and gloom: there are low cost ways to make a difference.
With your help Anglicord can assist communities to understand what the impacts are likely to be and make better decisions about how to adapt and respond. For example we can help people decide where to build their houses, what crops to plant and how to cope with less water.
With your help Anglicord can also assist communities to reduce their reliance on damaging foss
il fuels and also provide cheap and environmentally-friendly energy sources for their development.
