Women Die Waiting documentary:

Anglicord's work

With your help, we can make a difference.

With improved early detection of breast cancer and referral to appropriate treatment, Najah's daughter may never have to endure what her mother has been through.

Anglicord, an Anglican overseas aid agency, is raising money to fund breast clinics in the Gaza Strip, so that women can detect cancers earlier and access appropriate treatment sooner. Through our partnership with Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, we aim to fund the screening of 2000 women annually over three years, improve community education, and advocate for better treatment for women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Women do wonders

The women of Gaza are already doing wonders with the little they have – we can follow their example, and come together to do wonderful things for them. Anglicord is inviting church and other community groups to get together and learn about the issues facing women in Gaza, to learn about their way of life, and to raise money to improve early detection and treatment of breast cancer. At these gatherings, we will encourage them to adopt this project for the coming year, and brainstorm ways their community group can raise money.

Anglicord will provide invitations and information packs to interested groups, and will celebrate the events and achievements of these groups on our website and in social media.

Anglicord is also supporting Register4, an initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia. Register4 asks women to register their details for ongoing research into breast cancer research, and Anglicord will encourage all campaign participants to join Register4.
