Life for the Afar people is hard. AngliCORD supports the Afar people through the indigenous Afar Pastoralist Development Association (APDA) which was set up by Valerie and her Afar husband Ismael Ali Gardo.
APDA delivers HIV and AIDS awareness programs designed to help these marginalised nomadic people.
