Our Values and Vision

AngliCORD is an overseas relief and development agency of the Anglican Church in Australia.

Our vision is of a global community transformed by the values of the Kingdom of God: a community committed to love and serve all those in need, seeking peace, well-being and justice for all people and caring for creation.

We respond to Jesus’ call for compassion and justice through the global Anglican community, and build partnerships between Anglicans in Australia and Anglican communities in the developing world.

We work with local agencies in developing countries through creative and trusting relationships.

We build awareness among Australians about the needs and challenges faced by the most vulnerable people in developing countries.

We support relief and long-term development programs designed to lead to economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable futures for our partner communities.

We advocate policies and practices which promote a just and sustainable future for all.

We value every person, as all human beings are valued by God.

We respect the spiritual and cultural values of the people and communities with whom we work, and differences and diversity of race, religion, age and gender.

We promote effective participation by women, men and children.

We value openness, transparency and accountability in our work.

We seek to be accountable through compliance with the Australian Council for International Development Code of Conduct and independent annual audits.
