Burma Emergency The official death toll following Cyclone Nargis has now climbed to 31,938, while 29,770 remain missing. However, both figures are expected to climb as aid workers gain access to remote areas. The United Nations estimate that between 1.2 and 1.9 million people have been displaced and that around 750,000 people will need food for at least the next three months. The Action by Churches Together (ACT) global alliance is responding on behalf of member agencies including AngliCORD. Read more
